The Community Project

In 2017 one of the committee members shared a link to a workshop that was filmed in a high school classroom that was delivered by Tomorrow Architects. Before our eyes we saw young men show vulnerability and within minutes, we realised this workshop can be powerfully transformative. We were determined to find a way to make this paid program available to people for FREE. And that we did. We called it The Community Project.

it saves us”

We funded

Lorne Secondary College saw 22 boys and 17 girls - year 9 & 10 go through the workshop.

Surf Coast Secondary College saw 60 boys and 60 girls - year 9 & 10 go through the workshop.

Torquay Board Riders has 15 boys aged 16 yo and older go through the workshop.

Adults Event - Over 200 men in the Surf Coast Shire went through the workshop held at the Torquay Football Club. After the event the Torquay Football Club invited Tomorrow Architects to return.

Since then there have been many community programs that have evolved, creating a safe space for people to connect and share.

Big shout out two local legends Pete Murphy from Surfing Victoria and Shaun O’Callaghan from The 50 Year Storm, who were a big part in helping us deliver this program.

Also a big thank you to @_bspace for design and illustration of the Evaluation Report.
