We are proud to support

One in Five who have been a part of The Blowers since the very beginning. The Wardlaw family are dear to our hearts and always will be a part of the Blower family. Since 2006, One in Five have hosted the now infamous Blower BBQ, featuring those seriously delicious stake sandwiches, famous garlic butter with coleslaw. We are proud to have donated over $160,000 to One in Five to support mental health research. Bolt Blowers would not be the same without them.

On New Year’s Day 2001, a creative, intelligent young man named Matt Wardlaw succumbed to mental illness. The pain of his illness had become so intolerable he was driven to take his own life. Matt’s tragic yet all too common story inspired a group of his friends and family to come together and address one of Australia’s biggest health issues – mental illness. This marked the formation of ONE IN FIVE, a not-for-profit organisation raising funds for medical research into better diagnosis and treatments for mental health. Their long term goal is to find a cure.
